FESS is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses endoscopic tools to treat complicated acute or chronic sinus infections.

FESS aims to reestablish physiologically normal sinus drainage pathways by removing or correcting diseased pieces of tissues causing sinus obstruction.

Benefits of FESS

  • Less invasive (surgeon goes in through the nostril)
  • Less bleeding and pain
  • Shorter recovery time

What to Expect

For some, antibiotics are necessary, and the sinus cavity should be fully healed in 3-4 weeks.

Balloon Sinuplasty: The technology uses a small, flexible sinus balloon catheter to open up blocked sinus passageways, restoring normal sinus drainage. When the sinus balloon is inflated (passive voice), it gently restructures and widens the walls of the passageway while maintaining the integrity of the sinus lining.
