At Northwest ENT and Allergy Center we specialize in otolaryngology. We provide care for patients from across the Marietta area with comprehensive state-of-the-art ENT technology. Drew M. Locandro, M.D.
Dr Locandro - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterOriginally from New Jersey, Dr. Drew M. Locandro received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. He attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey, where he specialized in otolaryngology and completed his residency at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.Dr. Locandro has extensive experience with common ENT procedures and special expertise with nasal/sinus surgery, cosmetic nasal surgery, and advanced ear surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Shatul L. Parikh, M.D.
Dr Parikh - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterDr. Shatul Parikh, a native Atlantan, received his undergraduate degree from Emory University, and completed his medical studies at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Parikh returned to Emory University to complete his residency in Otolaryngology.

Dr. Parikh is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive thyroid/parathyroid surgery. Currently an instructor for the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Parikh teaches other surgeons advanced techniques in thyroid/parathyroid surgery. He is also experienced in all routine ENT procedures.

Dr. Parikh is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is also the medical director of Northwest ENT Surgery Center.

Ryan M. Kauffman, M.D.
Dr Kauffman - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterDr. Kauffman specializes in allergy, nasal surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, chronic ear surgery, and pediatric otolaryngology.

He was born and raised in Carrollton, Georgia, received his undergraduate degree from the University of West Georgia, attended medical school at Vanderbilt University, and completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Avani P. Ingley, M.D
Dr Ingley - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterDr. Avani Ingley grew up in Vidalia, Georgia, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. She completed her medical studies and residency in Otolaryngology at Emory University in Atlanta. Additionally, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, one of the nation’s most prestigious medical honor societies.

Dr. Ingley has experience in all routine ENT procedures with special interest in pediatric otolaryngology and nasal/sinus surgery. She is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Marcelo Antunes, M.D
Dr Antunes - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterOriginally from Brazil, Dr. Marcelo Antunes completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. In addition, he completed a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, as well as ear surgery training in Switzerland. Dr. Antunes is well trained in all aspects of Otolaryngology ¬ Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

In addition to performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on the face, he enjoys treating patients with a variety of problems such as nasal obstruction, sinus, allergy and ear conditions. He has extensive training in rhinoplasty, facelift, eyelid, reconstructive, sinus and ear procedures. During his residency, he trained and performed highly complicated procedures with the pioneer in sinus surgery in the United States. He is also well-versed in chronic ear infection and cochlear implant surgeries.

Dr Antunes is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Antunes also speaks Portugese and Spanish.

Mark B. Van Deusen M.D.
Dr Van Desusen - Northwest ENT and Allergy CenterDr. Mark Van Deusen grew in upstate NY. He graduated from Binghamton University summa cum laude and attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He went on to graduate with honors before heading south to pursue his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Dr. Van Deusen is trained in all aspects of Otolaryngology, and his passion for practicing is evident in his many interests. He enjoys treating patients with sinus disease, nasal obstruction, and allergies. When medical management fails, Dr. Van Deusen is skilled in endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, and rhinoplasty techniques. During his training, Dr. Van Deusen performed endoscopic trans-sphenoidal pituitary surgery as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Vanderbilt Skull Base Center. He will be providing this service at Piedmont Hospital in conjunction with neurosurgery. His scope of practice also includes caring for patients with ear disease and hearing loss. He is extensively trained in ear surgery and offers cochlear implantation for children and adults with significant sensorineural hearing loss. Dr. Van Deusen enjoys treating children and has received specialized training in pediatric Otolaryngology at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Lastly, he is trained in head and neck surgical oncology and works with radiation and medical oncologists to treat cancer patients.

Dr. Van Deusen makes every effort to accommodate his patients and their busy schedules. In most cases, he is able to take same day appointments.

Dr. Van Deusen met his wife, Liz, in medical school. They recently welcomed their first child, Brady, into the world! When not working, he enjoys running, playing golf, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
